As part of my work with the Boston Globe assembly line and offset printers, I was involved in designing and reverse engineering multiple components to improve production efficiency and quality.
What was done:

Add-ons and/or replacements for obsolete parts on the offset printers

Inserter accessories for improved production quality

Working alongside managing machinist and electrician unions to ensure successful implementation of the new designs

Creating functional Solidworks models, including part drawings, to keep track of the design process and allow for reconstruction of the components

Vendor management through RFQs to source necessary materials and components
